Gopher Resource's Takes the Plunge
Gopher Resource recently took part in its inaugural Polar Plunge event. This iconic plunge serves as the primary fundraiser for Special Olympics Minnesota, a partnership that has endured since 1998. The funds raised through this event play a crucial role in supporting the year-round training and services provided to thousands of athletes with disabilities across MN.
Through the dedication and generosity of our team members, Gopher Resource was able to raise an impressive $4,300. This contribution not only exceeded our initial goal but also demonstrates our commitment to supporting Special Olympics Minnesota and the incredible athletes it serves. We are immensely proud of our team's efforts and the positive impact they have made on our community.
Many of our Eagan facility employees enthusiastically joined in the plunge, fearlessly braving the icy waters of Lake Nokomis in Minneapolis. Their commitment to this cause exemplifies the values of compassion and community engagement that Gopher Resource holds dear.
And a big shout out to our CEO John Graham, who lead by example, taking not one, but two plunges! Once alongside the Gopher Resource team and again for the Executive Challenge.
We're excited to share that our plunge was featured on a live segment by local news station Fox9, capturing the spirit and enthusiasm of Team Gopher as they took the plunge for a worthy cause. You can watch the segment here.
At Gopher Resource, we believe in giving back to our community and making a meaningful difference in the lives of those around us. Our participation in the Polar Plunge reflects this commitment, and we look forward to continuing our support for Special Olympics Minnesota through this annual event.
