Gopher Resource Executive Joins Board of Minnesota Waste Wise Foundation
For 75 years, Gopher Resource has devoted itself to environmental sustainability. So it seemed natural for our company to increase its support of the Minnesota Waste Wise Foundation (MWWF).
We’re happy to announce that Daniel Leach, Senior Vice President and Chief Business Development Officer at Gopher Resource, has joined MWWF’s board. This is in addition to Gopher Resource’s participation and membership with the Foundation, a branch of the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce.
The Foundation provides environmental sustainability and energy reduction services to Minnesota businesses and organizations. The MWWF team helps companies find ways to control waste costs and connect with grants to fund programs that reduce, recycle and reuse waste.
In 2020, MWWF provided services to more than 600 businesses and properties throughout the Twin Cities metro area to either start, expand or enhance recycling programs. As a result of this work, the local business community diverted nearly 1.3 million pounds of waste from landfills and incinerators and saw a combined $50,000 in estimated cost savings.
